February 25, 2010

Well I know I am way behind on the blog, but things around the Turner household have changed! On Monday, February 22, we went to our doctor's appointment in hopes that we had made some progress towards delivery (Since his due date was the next day), but no such luck. Baby T was still floating up high and I had not progressed at all. So after much discussion and a lot of guidance from our wonderful doctor we decided that a c-section was best. So we scheduled it for that Thursday, allowing Baby T a few days to decide to come on his own, and of course, he didn't. He was obviously in no hurry to leave his warm, dark, cramped living space. So on Thursday Morning at the early hour of 4:30 am we left for the hospital. We checked in at 5:00 am for a 7:15 start time....

Headed to the hospital!

At 7:20 am John Ashton Turner made his debut at 7lbs 13oz. and 21 inches long! It was love at first sight! I have always heard how amazing it is to see your baby for the first time and the love you immediately feel but WOW!!! It is AMAZING!!

Mimi and Paw Paw were there to greet us as we arrived in our room. That evening Justin and Bethany came for their first visit. Aunt Nat joined the party on Friday night! Ashton was so excited to meet all of his visitors! He greeted everyone with wide eyes!

What an amazing day! All 3 of us were extremely tired, but were so blessed that God had given us such an awesome gift!!
