October Travels: Part I

Well our October Travels started with a visit from MiMi and PawPaw! MiMi flew in from her trip to Ohio, and PawPaw drove over to go to the Ole Miss/Alabama game with John. We had a fun low key weekend with lots of football and a visit to our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. MiMi and PawPaw brought John Ashton a new hat and polo to help him cheer on the Ole Miss Rebels. He loves his new game day gear. Thanks MiMi and PawPaw!

John Ashton and I went home with MiMi and PawPaw and from there we traveled on to Arkansas, where JA met lots of family! We started in Corning where JA met Aunt Lou, my cousin David, and Grandma. I am not sure if Grandma knew exactly who we were but she sure did enjoy John Ashton, and I enjoyed seeing her. We then loaded up and drove on to Paragould, AR where we stayed the night with my Aunt Terry and Uncle Joe. We had a great visit with them and John Ashton was pretty smitten with them. My Aunt Terry invited my cousin Libby and her family over for dinner that night, and it was really nice to catch up with everyone. Libby's boys were lots of fun and John Ashton loved their attention! (Thank you Aunt Terry and Uncle Joe. We really enjoyed seeing yall!)

The next morning we drove over to Searcy, AR to visit and meet more family. We went straight to my Aunt Christy and Uncle Jeff's house where JA found lots of fun toys to play with! He met Ellie Kate and Aunt Christy. Then we went to lunch with them and met up with Aunt Shelley and Uncle Jeff too! My mom, Aunt Shelley, and I went to the Harding Bookstore where we met up with cousin Tandy for a quick visit before she flew home for Fall Break. Later that day he met cousins Davis and Emma Lee, and later that night he met Uncle Jay! It was a full fun filled day. We stayed with Uncle Jay and Aunt Shelley and woke up the next day to visit with my cousin Leanne and her precious little Eden who drove down from Little Rock. Later that afternoon my cousin Lindsay and her dog Harley came down from Little Rock too. We also got to visit with my cousin Joni and her family. (Thanks Joni for letting us come see your beautiful home! ) We ended the evening visiting with EVERYONE at Jeff and Christy's. (Thank you Aunt Christy for yet another delicious meal!) John Ashton was pretty taken with all the family and loved having Julie carry him around most of the night.

JA had a great time meeting and playing with everyone. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family. Wish we all lived closer! I always leave wishing we had more time to visit with everyone. Never enough time, but we loved seeing yall!
